Pedal boat rentals
and kayaks near Nevers
The nautical base, just a few steps from the campsite via a footbridge, offers swimming throughout the season. In July and August, you’ll enjoy a varied programme of activities every afternoon at the campsite near Nevers:
- supervised swimming on the sandy beach
- pedal boat and canoe rentals *
- ice cream, drinks and waffles
*Pedal boats are designed for a maximum of 4 people, kayaks for 2 adults and 1 child. The presence of an adult is required.
Dogs are not allowed.
You can rent directly at the base Life jackets can be borrowed from the rental hut if required.
The playground
for your children
At the 3-star l’Étang du Merle campsite in the Nièvre region, there’s a playground for children right next to your pitch (swing, slide, seesaw…). What’s more, the campsite is the perfect place for cycling, scootering or building huts in which to invent wonderful stories.

L’Étang du Merle campsite has the following facilities at your disposal:
Starting from the campsite, you can also follow the sports trail around the Etang du Merle. The tree-shaded circuit is 2.2 kilometers long and comprises around ten stages (beam crossing – sheep jumping – parallel bars – beam lifting etc.): accessible to all, the competition is open!
The site is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activities, and the less sporty can simply enjoy beautiful, soothing walks in an exceptional natural setting.
